The Boston Celtics defeated the Dallas Mavericks 106-88, in Game 5 of the NBA Finals Presented by YouTube TV to win the 2024 NBA Finals, 4-1. Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 31 points, 11 assists, and eight rebounds as Jaylen Brown added 21 points, eight rebounds, and six assists. Luka Doncic led the Mavericks with 28 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists. Jaylen Brown was voted as series MVP and awarded the Bill Russell NBA Finals Most Valuable Player award. He averaged 20.8 PPG, 5.4 RPG, and 5.0 APG across the series.
