After James Harden knocked down a three from the right wing with 15.3 seconds remaining in overtime to give the Rockets a one-point lead, CJ McCollum knocked down his ninth three of the night with 6.3 seconds remaining in overtime to lift the Trail Blazers over the Rockets, 128-126. CJ McCollum finished with 44 points, including a career-high nine 3pt FGM for the Trail Blazers, while James Harden tallied 44 points and a career-high tying 17 assists for the Rockets in the losing effort. The Trail Blazers improve to 1-1 on the season, while the Rockets fall to 0-1.
